Ravens Beat Browns and Clinch Playoff Spot

The Baltimore Ravens clinched a playoff spot today when they beat the Cleveland Browns today. The Ravens have gone back to the formula that works for them which is running the ball. Ray Rice had 25 carries for 92 yards. Joe Flacco only threw for 102 yards in the air but had two key touchdown passes to T.J. and Derrick Mason. Ed Reed came up with a whopping 2 interceptions on defense.

The key for the Ravens in the playoffs will be to run the ball and keep our defense off the field as much as possible in the 2nd half. Next up will be the Bengals. Go Ravens!!!

Final Score: Ravens 20 Bengals 10

Ravens vs Browns Halftime Report

The Cleveland Browns won't be going to the playoffs this year, but they are playing the Baltimore Ravens tough away. The Browns managed to kick a 30 yard field goal just before halftime to pull within 3 points of the Ravens. So far the Ravens defense have kept their word and held the Browns rushing game in check during the first half.

Halftime Score: Ravens 13 Browns 10

Ravens vs Browns Pre-Game Analysis

The Baltimore Ravens can clinch a playoff birth by beating down the Cleveland Browns today. The key to a Ravens win is to shutdown Peyton Hillis in the running game and to continue what they did last week against the Saints on offense. I believe the Browns will pay the Ravens tough but the Ravens should come home with the victory.

Prediction: Ravens 24 Browns 17

Ravens Hold on in 4th Quarter to Beat Saints

The Baltimore Ravens finally did it. The Ravens finally held on to a 4th quarter lead to beat a quality football team. They finally were able to run the ball effectively. Both the defense and special teams played well also. Flacco continued to impress making some big throws. Ray Rice showed that explosiveness that we have come to expect from him.

Basicallky, it was a great win at home and a very impressive one. The Ravens will most likely be going to the playoffs and still have a chance to get a home playoff game with today's defeat of the New Orleans Saints. Drew who?

Final Score: Ravens 30 Saints 24

Ravens vs Saints Pre-Game Analysis

The Ravens vs Saints game is probably the second biggest game the Baltimore Ravens have at home this year with the biggest being the Pittsburgh game. The Ravens need to win the game today in order to build confidence going into the playoffs. If the Ravens have a lead going into the 4th quarter, they must find a way to hang on and win.

The Saints have an impressive 10 and 3 record and are the defending Superbowl champions. The Ravens want to prove that they can get to the Superbowl. The Saints have been on a roll and are favored to win this game, but I am keeping the faith that the Ravens will continue to play well at home. I am keeping the faith the Ravens will finally play a full 4 quarters of good football.

Prediction: Ravens 27 Saints 24

Ravens Continue to Have 4th Quarter Problems

The Baltimore Ravens continue to have problems winning games in the 4th quarter this year. It seems like once the 4th quarter comes that the team runs out of gas and the coaches start making poor play calling decisions.

I believe that the main problem is that the Ravens are not running the ball very well this year. In order to manage the clock and give your defense rest, you must be able to run the ball. The Ravens finally have some serious weapons at the wide receiver position but they better not forget about that 3 headed monster in the running game with Rice, McCLain, and McGahee.

Ravens Escape Texas With Overtime Win

The Baltimore Ravens blew a 21 to 0 lead to allow the Houston Texans to tie it up in the 4th quarter 28 to 28. A game that should not have been close ended up going into overtime. Josh Wilson was the hero for the Ravens picking off a pass and running it back for a TD in overtime to clinch the win.

Final Score: Ravens 34 Texans 28

Steelers Defeat Ravens 13 to 10

It was the same ole story. The Baltimore Ravens had every opportunity to win the game, but managed to blow it in the 4th quuarter. Despite a bad foot and a bloody broken nose big Ben Roethlisberger managed to do just enough to help the Pittsburgh Steelers win the game. The Ravens defense fought very hard, but the offense turned the ball over on a Flacco fumble which led to the Pittsburgh game winning score.

It seems like the Baltimore Ravens are terrible at game management in the fourth quarter. All they had to do was pound the ball and run out more clock but instead tried to pass and ended up turning the ball over. What a shame because the Ravens had a chance to pretty much clinch the AFC North title.

Ravens vs Steelers Pre-Game Analysis

The Ravens vs Steelers game may as well be called the AFC North Championship. The winner of this game, especially if the Baltimore Ravens win, will most likely go on the win the AFC North title. The Baltimore Ravens are undefeated at home this season and must protect the house against their division rivals the Pittsburgh Steelers. In the first meeting this year, the Steelers did not have have their ace quarterback big Ben Roethlisberger. Joe Flacco led us to a victory in the 4th quarter in the first meeting this year and we will need him to shine once gain on Sunday night.

I am picking the Ravens to win at home because Joe Flacco usually plays very well at home. Also this the Ravens' chance to prove that they are indeed a Superbowl contender this year. A win Sunday night in primetime on a nationally televised game would not only put the Ravens in good position to win the AFC North title , but would also set the tone for the rest of the season.

Prediction: Ravens 23 Steelers 17
