Ravens Slaughter the Rams in Their Own House

The Rams didn't have a chance today against the Baltimore Ravens and ended up getting slaughtered. The hungry Ravens feasted on the Rams after coming off a defeat last week against the Tennessee Titans. The Ravens were hungry for a win and they showed it on the road in St. Louis.

Torrey Smith came out of nowhere to catch 3 touchdowns in the first half!!! Ray Rice had over 160 yards from scrimmage and Joe Flacco passed for 389 yards! The defense held strong and only allowed 7 points to the Rams. Looks like the Jets got next.

Final Score: Ravens 37 Rams 7

Ravens vs Rams Halftime Report

The Baltimore Ravens are blowing out the St. Louis Rams in the first half. Torrey Smith has come to life catching 3 passes for TDs in the first half. His first 3 catches in the NFL were each for touchdowns today and that ties a NFL record.

The Ravens defense has managed to shutdown the St. Louis Rams completely. The Rams only had 3 yards passing in the first half! The Ravens have definitely bounced back from their loss last week.

Halftime Score: Ravens 27 Rams 0

Ravens vs Rams Pre-Game Analysis

The Baltimore Ravens will be looking to redeem themselves today after their poor performance last week. Even though this will be a road game, I expect the Ravens to play with more intensity this week.

In order to come home with a win, we will need the Joe Flacco who played against the Steelers in week one to show up. We may have to make key plays in the passing game to win because the Rams may try to take advantage of our weakness at the cornerback position. I expect our defense to step because if they don't it could turn into a shootout.

Prediction: Ravens 24 Rams 17

Ravens Fall to Titans

After looking like a team that might be headed to the Superbowl against the Pittsburgh Steelers last week, the Tennessee Titans brought the Baltimore Ravens back down to earth. I hate to say it but the Titans outplayed the Ravens on both sides of the ball.

Joe Flacco threw 2 interceptions and Ricky Williams had a fumble. Matt Hasselbeck passed for 358 yards on our Ravens defense.

Final Score: Titans 26 Ravens 13

Ravens vs Titans Halftime Report

OK, looks like the Tennessee Titans are playing us tougher than expected. Their home crowd is in it and the Titans are playing like they are motivated to get their first win of the season. The Titans have been able to exploit our weaknesses at the cornerback position due to injuries and Britt was able to score on Foxworth for a TD in the first half. The Baltimore Ravens have already turned the ball over twice. This will have to stop in the 2nd half in order for the Ravens to come home with the win.

Halftime Score: Ravens 10 Titans 10

Ravens vs Titans Pre-Game Analysis

The Tennessee Titans have been crying and whining all week long claiming the Baltimore Ravens play dirty etc... This let's me know that they fear our physical defense and offense already and they haven't stepped on the field yet. A scared team is an unprepared team. I expect a competitive game but the Ravens will dominate them in their own house.

Prediction: Ravens 24 Titans 13

Joe Flacco Gets the Monkey Off his Back Against the Steelers

All you kept hearing this year is how Joe Flacco has never beaten Ben Roethlisberger. Well, today Joe Flacco played way better than Ben Roethlisberger. Flacco looked like an elite quarterback today striking early and often. His first pass of the entire season was a touchdown pass to Anquan Boldin!

Ray Rice was also a beast on offense scoring 2 TDs in the first half.  The legendary Ed Reed had 2 picks. Mighty Ray Lewis had a pick and forced a fumble. Terrell Suggs aka T. Sizzle caused major havoc and became the Ravens all-time sack leader today. I thought it would be another close game at first but the Ravens whipped the Steelers asses like they stoled something.  If the Ravens continue to play this well, this could indeed be our Superbowl year.

Final Score: Ravens 35 Steelers 7

Ravens vs Steelers at 1pm on 9/11 Game On!

Ok Baltimore Ravens fans, we are about to play our first game of the 2011 season.  It's time to get revenge on those annoying Pissburgh Steelers!  It's time to get pumped up!  If you are not fired up yet then check out the following YouTube video before you watch the game:

Ravens vs Steelers Pre-Game Analysis

Joe Flacco has never beaten Ben Roethlisberger.  The Pittsburgh Steelers have knocked the Baltimore Ravens out of the playoffs in 2 of the last 3 playoff runs.  The Ravens do have home field advantage and are looking for some much needed revenge against their AFC North rivals.

Even though the Steelers are the favorites tomorrow, I have to go with my home team.  I think the moves made in the off season and the fact we are playing at home will be enough for the Ravens to pull out the victory in another close one.

Prediction: Ravens 24 Steelers 20

Are Fans Taking Football Games Too Seriously? Fan Fights are on the Rise

Yeah I think it is very good to support your hometown team, but when it leads to violence then it has gone too far.  There seems to be an increase in fan fights and violence in all sports and not just football.  A few few weeks ago, a major fan fight broke out at M & T Bank Stadium during the Ravens vs Chiefs preaseason game.  That's right it was just a preseason game.

Here is a video clip of the fan fight at the Ravens vs Chiefs preaseason game in August 2011:
