Ravens Beat Browns and Clinch Playoff Spot

The Baltimore Ravens clinched a playoff spot today when they beat the Cleveland Browns today. The Ravens have gone back to the formula that works for them which is running the ball. Ray Rice had 25 carries for 92 yards. Joe Flacco only threw for 102 yards in the air but had two key touchdown passes to T.J. and Derrick Mason. Ed Reed came up with a whopping 2 interceptions on defense.

The key for the Ravens in the playoffs will be to run the ball and keep our defense off the field as much as possible in the 2nd half. Next up will be the Bengals. Go Ravens!!!

Final Score: Ravens 20 Bengals 10

Ravens vs Browns Halftime Report

The Cleveland Browns won't be going to the playoffs this year, but they are playing the Baltimore Ravens tough away. The Browns managed to kick a 30 yard field goal just before halftime to pull within 3 points of the Ravens. So far the Ravens defense have kept their word and held the Browns rushing game in check during the first half.

Halftime Score: Ravens 13 Browns 10

Ravens vs Browns Pre-Game Analysis

The Baltimore Ravens can clinch a playoff birth by beating down the Cleveland Browns today. The key to a Ravens win is to shutdown Peyton Hillis in the running game and to continue what they did last week against the Saints on offense. I believe the Browns will pay the Ravens tough but the Ravens should come home with the victory.

Prediction: Ravens 24 Browns 17

Ravens Hold on in 4th Quarter to Beat Saints

The Baltimore Ravens finally did it. The Ravens finally held on to a 4th quarter lead to beat a quality football team. They finally were able to run the ball effectively. Both the defense and special teams played well also. Flacco continued to impress making some big throws. Ray Rice showed that explosiveness that we have come to expect from him.

Basicallky, it was a great win at home and a very impressive one. The Ravens will most likely be going to the playoffs and still have a chance to get a home playoff game with today's defeat of the New Orleans Saints. Drew who?

Final Score: Ravens 30 Saints 24

Ravens vs Saints Pre-Game Analysis

The Ravens vs Saints game is probably the second biggest game the Baltimore Ravens have at home this year with the biggest being the Pittsburgh game. The Ravens need to win the game today in order to build confidence going into the playoffs. If the Ravens have a lead going into the 4th quarter, they must find a way to hang on and win.

The Saints have an impressive 10 and 3 record and are the defending Superbowl champions. The Ravens want to prove that they can get to the Superbowl. The Saints have been on a roll and are favored to win this game, but I am keeping the faith that the Ravens will continue to play well at home. I am keeping the faith the Ravens will finally play a full 4 quarters of good football.

Prediction: Ravens 27 Saints 24

Ravens Continue to Have 4th Quarter Problems

The Baltimore Ravens continue to have problems winning games in the 4th quarter this year. It seems like once the 4th quarter comes that the team runs out of gas and the coaches start making poor play calling decisions.

I believe that the main problem is that the Ravens are not running the ball very well this year. In order to manage the clock and give your defense rest, you must be able to run the ball. The Ravens finally have some serious weapons at the wide receiver position but they better not forget about that 3 headed monster in the running game with Rice, McCLain, and McGahee.

Ravens Escape Texas With Overtime Win

The Baltimore Ravens blew a 21 to 0 lead to allow the Houston Texans to tie it up in the 4th quarter 28 to 28. A game that should not have been close ended up going into overtime. Josh Wilson was the hero for the Ravens picking off a pass and running it back for a TD in overtime to clinch the win.

Final Score: Ravens 34 Texans 28

Steelers Defeat Ravens 13 to 10

It was the same ole story. The Baltimore Ravens had every opportunity to win the game, but managed to blow it in the 4th quuarter. Despite a bad foot and a bloody broken nose big Ben Roethlisberger managed to do just enough to help the Pittsburgh Steelers win the game. The Ravens defense fought very hard, but the offense turned the ball over on a Flacco fumble which led to the Pittsburgh game winning score.

It seems like the Baltimore Ravens are terrible at game management in the fourth quarter. All they had to do was pound the ball and run out more clock but instead tried to pass and ended up turning the ball over. What a shame because the Ravens had a chance to pretty much clinch the AFC North title.

Ravens vs Steelers Pre-Game Analysis

The Ravens vs Steelers game may as well be called the AFC North Championship. The winner of this game, especially if the Baltimore Ravens win, will most likely go on the win the AFC North title. The Baltimore Ravens are undefeated at home this season and must protect the house against their division rivals the Pittsburgh Steelers. In the first meeting this year, the Steelers did not have have their ace quarterback big Ben Roethlisberger. Joe Flacco led us to a victory in the 4th quarter in the first meeting this year and we will need him to shine once gain on Sunday night.

I am picking the Ravens to win at home because Joe Flacco usually plays very well at home. Also this the Ravens' chance to prove that they are indeed a Superbowl contender this year. A win Sunday night in primetime on a nationally televised game would not only put the Ravens in good position to win the AFC North title , but would also set the tone for the rest of the season.

Prediction: Ravens 23 Steelers 17

Check out the Ravens vs Steeler highlights from the last meeting:

Ravens Defeat Bucs

The mighty Baltimore Ravens go on to defeat the the Tampa Bay Bucs today. Joe Flacco had yet another decent performance throwing for 2 touchdowns and 1 interception. The interception was Joe Flacco's first one thrown at home this season. The Bucs didn't really do too much against the Ravens defense until the 4th quarter when they pulled within 7 points on a touchdown pass.

This was a good win for the Baltimore Ravens and they remain tied for 1st in the AFC north with the Pittsburgh Steelers.

Final Score: Ravens 17 Bucs 10

Meet other Baltimore Ravens fans on myLot.

Ravens vs Bucs Pre-Game Analysis

Both the Ravens and the Bucs come into this game with 7 wins and 3 losses. The Baltimore Ravens are undefeated at home. The Baltimore Ravens can't afford anymore losses right now if they wish to remain in the race for home field advantage in the playoffs. The Ravens also have more weapons than the Bucs so I expect them to remain undefeated at home. It will be a tough game but I am picking the Ravens to win by a touchdown.

Prediction: Ravens 24 Bucs 17

Ravens Never Looked Back in Win Over Panthers

The Baltimore Ravens defeated the Carolina Panthers just like I anticipated in my previous post. Actually, the Ravens did better than I thought they would scoring 10 more points than I predicted. Joe Flacco set the tone early hitting T.J. Houshmandzadeh for a 56 yard touchdown pass on the second play from scrimmage and the Ravens never looked back after that.

Several Ravens hit career milestones during the game. T.J. Houshmandzadeh caught his 600th career reception. Old reliable Derrick Mason became the 13th play in NFL history to hit the 900 career catch mark. Not to be outdone, a couple of defensive players hit milestones as well. Ed Reed grabbed his 50th career interception and Ray Lewis snatched his 30th career interception which he also ran in for a TD to close out the game.

Final Score: Ravens 37 Panthers 13

Ravens vs Panthers Pre-Game Analysis

The Baltimore Ravens have 6 wins and just 3 losses. The Carolina Panthers have 1 win and 8 losses. The Baltimore Ravens must win this game because it is a game that they should win. The Ravens are coming off a heartbreaking loss to the Falcons and are very well rested. I expect the Ravens to take an early lead on the Panthers and then never look back.

Prediction: Ravens 27 Panthers 13

Ravens Take the Loss in a Heartbreaker

The Baltimore Ravens had an opportunity to win on the road but the defense couldn't hold the Falcons late in the game. Joe Flacco did his part by driving downfield and throwing a touchdown pass late in the game to give the Ravens the lead. The problem was we left too much time on the clock for Matt Ryan. Matt Ryan came right back and drove the Falcons downfield with less than a minute to go for the game winning touchdown pass. It was the biggest heartbreaking loss for the Ravens since the Patriots game.

Final Score: Ravens 21 Falcons 26

Ravens vs Falcons Pre-Game Analysis

The Atlanta Falcons are undefeated at home and so are the Baltimore Ravens. The Atlanta Falcons have a big edge in this game because they are playing at home on a short week. Both teams seem to be very similar but we have one thing that they don't have and that is Ed Reed. Ed Reed has gotten one or more interceptions in every game since his return and I think he could be the difference maker in this game.

I am going with the Ravens in this battle of the birds and I look for Joe Flacco to shine in the national spotlight Thursday night.

Prediction: Ravens 23 Falcons 20

Spitroversy

I guess most people have heard the controversy about Baltimore Ravens running back McClain allegedly spitting on Dolphins linebacker Crowder this past Sunday. The debate is ongoing as to whether or not McClain did it. McClain denies doing it. You can see a video clip of the incident at the link below:

Ravens Defeat Dolphins

Just when it looked like the Dolphins were going to give us a run for the money, the Baltimore Ravens defense shows up and shuts out the Dolphins in the second half. Ed Reed got yet another career interception today as the Ravens cruise to a record of 6 wins and 2 losses.

Final Score: Ravens 26 Dolphins 10

Ravens vs Dolphins Halftime Report

There is some good news and some bad news for the Baltimore Ravens. I'll give you the bad news first. The bad news is that our defense still doesn't look like the shutdown defense we are used to in Baltimore. Although it doesn't look as bad as it it did against the Buffalo Bills, the Miami Dolphins are moving the ball on our defense rather easily. Fabian washington is still having problems covering receivers as well.

As for the good news, the offense has been fairly decent except for a couple of missed opportunities in the red zone. The offense isn't turning the ball over and we are going into halftime with the lead.

Halftime Score: Ravens 13 Dolphins 10

Saturday, November 6, 2010

Ravens vs Dolphins Pre-Game Analysis

The Baltimore Ravens are undefeated at home and the Miami Dolphins are undefeated on the road. I expect this to be a hard fought game as both teams are very physical. I do expect to Ravens to pull it out however in another nail biting close game.

Prediction: Ravens 23 Miami 20

Surviving During a Ravens Bye Week

OK, the Ravens didn't play this week and I didn't get my usual fix of Baltimore football. Since I couldn't watch the Ravens play, I spent most of my time routing for our AFC rivals to lose. It turned out to be a good day because both the Jets and the Pittsburgh Steelers suffered losses today. The Bengals loss another one this week as well.

What do we need now? We need the Patriots to get a few losses. The Patriots are sitting pretty right now with a record of 6 wins and 1 loss. I hope the loss to the Patriots a couple of weeks ago doesn't come back to haunt us.

Sunday, October 24, 2010

Ravens Beat Bills in Overtime

The Baltimore Ravens end up playing in overtime for the second week in a row. The second time was the charm however as the ravens come out on top by a field goal in overtime. The game ended up being a shootout as the Buffalo Bills jumped out to an early lead of 24 to 10.

It looked like our defense took a break through most of the game. Flacco brought us back however by throwing for 250 yards, 3 TDs, and no interceptions. The Ravens now have 5 wins and 2 losses going into a bye week.

Final Score: Ravens 37 Bills 34

Ravens vs Bills Halftime Report

Who would have thought that the Bills would be leading the ravens by a score of 24 to 20 right now? We are in the midst of a shootout folks. This game will really show what Flacco and our offense are made of.

Go Ravens!!!

Ravens vs Bills Pre-Game Analysis

The Ravens should beat the Bills by at least 10 points today. That is all I'm going to say about this game right now.

Prediction: Ravens 27 Bills 17

Sunday, October 17, 2010

Patriots Beat Ravens in Overtime

It looked like the Ravens had the game in their hands with a 20 to 10 lead late in the game. That is when Tom Brady started playing like the Tom Brady of old and brought the Patiots back to a 20 to 20 tie in the 4th quarter. The Patriots then won the game in overtime with a game winning field goal.

Joe Flacco out played Brady for most of the game but Brady played better when it counted the most.

Final Score: Ravens 20 Patriots 23

Ravens vs Patriots Pre-Game Analysis

The Baltimore Ravens are the better team on paper and have played better football than the Patriots this year. The Patriots have a better quarterback and home field advantage. This will be a tough game, but I think the Ravens will come out on top because of all the weapons we have on offense and defense.

Prediction: Ravens 24 Patriots 17

Sunday, October 10, 2010

Baltimore Has Best Record in the AFC

With 4 wins and 1 loss, the Baltimore Ravens currently have the best record in the AFC! We all have high hopes of seeing the Ravens win another Superbowl. It would definitely be great for the city of Baltimore and Ravens fans to host the AFC championship game this year in Baltimore.

We still have alot of work to do however. Next week we have a tough game on the road against the New England Patriots. I am pretty sure the Patriots will be seeking revenge for the whipping the Ravens gave them in last year's playoffs.

Ravens Prove to be Too Powerful for Broncos

The Baltimore Ravens jumped out to an early lead on the Denver Broncos and it was never really close thereafter. Orton threw for over 300 yards passing but it was no match for the Ravens' powerful running game. Ray Rice ran wild for 133 yards and two touchdowns for the Ravens.

Final score: Ravens 31 Broncos 17

Ravens vs Broncos Pre-Game Analysis

The Denver Broncos are coming to town with their passing game led by their QB Kyle Orton. The Broncos should give our secondary a good test today but they are a one dimensional team. I expect a Ravens win at home today and our defense to get some turnovers.

Prediction: Ravens 24 Broncos 17

Sunday, October 3, 2010

Ravens Give Steelers Their First Loss

The Baltimore Ravens went into hostile Pittburgh territory and got the job done giving the Pittsburgh Steelers their very first loss of the season. Flacco threw for 256 yards and hit wide receiver T.J. Houshmandzadeh for the game winning pass with under a minute to go.

Ray Lewis clinched the win by getting the first pick of the season for the Ravens defense. It was a great win for the Ravens on the road playing their biggest rival.

Final Score: Ravens 17 Steelers 14

Ravens vs Steelers Pre-Game Analysis

One on the biggest rivalries in football will take place as the Ravens play the Steelers on the road today. It looks like Ray Rice will play today for the Ravens. The question is which Flacco will show up today? If the Flacco that played last week against the Browns shows up then I like our chances.

Prediction: Ravens 17 Steelers 13

Boldin is Golden

Anquan Boldin caught three touchdown passes in Sunday's will over the Cleveland Browns. Check out Boldin's highlights:

Monday, September 27, 2010

Ravens Feast on Cleveland Browns

The Baltimore Ravens won their home opener against the Cleveland Browns. Flacco finally showed up and threw 3 TDs to WR Boldin with no interceptions. The Browns played us tough however due to the power running of their fullback Peyton Hillis who rushed for 144 yards and scored a touchdown on our defense.

This was a much need win for the Ravens because they will face the undefeated Pittsburgh Steelers next week.

Final Score: Ravens 24 Browns 17

Tribute to Ravens Defense

Although much is expected from the Baltimore offense this year, the defense is still the heart and soul of the Baltimore Ravens. The Ravens defense finally gave up a TD today to the Cleveland Browns. I love and take pride in our defense most of all. I found this video on Youtube which pays tribute the the best defense in the NFL over the last 10 years.

Ravens vs Browns Pre-Game Analysis

This should be a win for the Baltimore Ravens. This better be a win for the the Baltimore Ravens. You can never take a division game too lightly but this should be a win unless Flacco has another performance like last week.

Prediction: Ravens 24 Browns 6

Sunday, September 19, 2010

Bengals Defeat Ravens in a Close Game

The were some bad calls by the refs in this one but the real difference was the 4 interceptions thrown by Ravens QB Joe Flacco. The Ravens defense continues to play exceptionally well and has not given up a touchdown yet this year.

If we can just get the offense to show up and stop turning the ball over we would be 2 and 0!

Final score: Ravens 10 Bengals 15

Ravens vs Bengals PreGame Analysis

The Ravens vs Bengals game today will be a good matchup. I believe it will come down to quarterback play. If Flacco can outplay Bengals QB Palmer , the Ravens should be able to come home with a win.

Prediction: Ravens 24 Bengals 17

Ravens Beat Jets 10 to 9

The first Monday night football game of the 2010 season was a classic defensive battle. It was a close game because of some early turnovers by the Baltimore Ravens but the Ravens Defense showed why it has been the best in in the NFL over the last decade.

QB Mark Sanchez couldn't do anything against the Ravens. Ravens QB Flacco made some big mistakes but also made some big throws as well. What can I say? The Ravens still like to win ugly.

Final score: Ravens 10 Jets 9

Ravens Preseason Analysis

Baltimore Ravens Sign Anquan Boldin

The Baltimore Ravens have finally gotten the type of receiver they were looking for with the recent acquisition of wide receiver Anquan Boldin. With the recent signing of Dante Stallworth, Joe Flacco will have plenty of weapons on offense next year.

If we can patch up a few problems in our defensive secondary over the off season as well, then this could definitely be a team capable of going to the Super Bowl.

Wide Receiver Needed

The Baltimore Ravens have been talking about getting that big star wide receiver for years. In a recent interview Jim Harbaugh expressed interest in Terrell Owens. Saints Defeat Colts in Superbowl XLIV!

I was tired of hearing people say that the Indianapolis Colts team this year could be one of the best teams of all time. Well, after today that argument is dead. The Saints took care of business after falling behind 10 to 0 in the first quarter of the Superbowl. Peyton Manning threw a crucial interception in the 4th quarter which resulted in a Saints touchdown. The New Orleans Saints then went on to win their first Superbowl ever.

Final Score: Saints 31 Colts 17

Colts Beat Ravens 20 to 3

The Baltimore Ravens will not be going back to the AFC championship game this year. The Colts defense hold the Ravens to just 3 points in a game where the Ravens could not catch a break. The Ravens had 4 turnovers and it seemed as though the offense never got off the plane.

The Ravens defense played their hearts out but got no help from the offense. The Baltimore Ravens still have never beaten the Colts.

Final Score: Colts 20 Ravens 3

Colts Lead Ravens 17 to 3 at Halftime

After a tough hard hitting first quarter which ended tied 3 to 3, the Colts take a commanding lead of 17 to 3 to go into the 2nd half. The Ravens defense is playing hard with not much help from the offense. Looks like Flacco is going to half to make some big throws to get us back into the game in the second half.

Ravens vs Colts PreGame Analysis

The key to the Baltimore Ravens pulling off a win on the road in Indianapolis is running the ball. We will need to have big days out of Ray Rice and McGahee tonight. Flacco can not turn the ball over and we can't have too many stupid penalties.

If the Colts stop the run early in the game we will be in trouble. We need to start the game with the same intensity that we had in New England. I'm backing my boys all the way. Tonight is the night we finally beat the Colts!!!

My prediction: Ravens 24 Colts 20

Hey Ravens fans! Do you feel It?

I can feel it coming in the air tonight! The Baltimore Ravens are just 2 wins away from the Superbowl! Ravens vs Colts at 8:15 pm eastern time tonight. It doesn't get much better than this! Are you excited! Do you feel it coming in the air tonight?

Ravens Overwhelm Patriots 33 to 14

The Baltimore Ravens exploded on the New England Patriots starting with the very first play from scrimmage in which Ray Rice bursted for a touchdown run. The Patriots were never really in the game as the Ravens lead at halftime by a score of 24 to 7.

The Ravens went on to win with a final score of 33 to 14. Joe Flacco didn't look too impressive but the running game and the defense were extraordinary. The Baltimore Ravens will advance to the next round of the playoffs and will play the Indianapolis Colts next.

Ravens vs Patriots 2 - The Rematch

The Baltimore Ravens will play the New England Patriots tomorrow at 1pm in an AFC Wild Card Playoff game. This will be the second time these two teams face off this season. The Patriots won 27 to 21 in the first match.

This time there is much more at stake. The winner advances into the next round of the playoffs and the loser goes home. The Ravens will need to run the ball well and have a mistake free game from quarterback Joe Flacco to pull off this win on the road.

Go Ravens!!!
