Ravens Crush Cardinals Hopes of an Upset

The Arizona Cardinals wanted to shock the Ravens Nation by coming in and pulling out an upset of the Ravens in Baltimore. In the the first half it looked like they were going to get what they wanted. The Cardinals led the Ravens by 21 points at one point in the first half.

The Baltimore Ravens were not having it though. Joe Flacco started getting the ball to Anquan Boldin in the second half and Boldin made several big catches which led to Ravens points in the second half. Ray Rice was the beneficiary of those big plays and ended up scoring 3 TDs in the second half.

I asked if Joe Flacco had what it takes to get us back in the game in my halftime report. The answer was obviously yes! Joe Flacco ended up with 336 yards passing as he led us to the biggest comeback victory in Ravens franchise history. The Ravens will face the Pittsburgh Steelers next Sunday night.

Final Score: Ravens 30 Cardinals 27

Ravens vs Cardinals Halftime Report

The Baltimore Ravens look even worse than they did against the Jaguars last week. The Arizona Cardinals totally dominated the Baltimore Ravens in the first half. It doesn't look good for the Ravens as the offense continues to struggle and commit turnovers. It didn't help that the Ravens special teams unit gave up a punt return touchdown as well.

Does Joe Flacco have what it takes to get the Ravens back in this game? We will find out in the second half.

Ravens vs Cardinals Pre-Game Analysis

The Baltimore Ravens will be looking to redeem themselves after Monday night's poor performance on offense. The Arizona Cardinals will be facing the Ravens top rated defense on the road. I expect the Ravens to be focused and dominate this game at home.

Prediction: Ravens 27 Cardinals 10

Ravens Give Up First Place in AFC North

It was a game the Baltimore Ravens should have won. It is hard to win though if you can't score. The Jacksonville Jaguars kept the Ravens scoreless until late in the 4th quarter. Despite another impressive performance by the defense, the Ravens offense did not show up at all until late in the 4th quarter.

The Pittsburgh Steelers are now in first place in the AFC North. Terrell Suggs said it best after the game. He said the Jaguars fed their horse while the Ravens only gave Ray Rice 8 carries. Well it looks like the Ravens offense has its problems but what else is new?

Final Score: Ravens 7 Jaguars 12

Ravens vs Jaguars Pre-Game Analysis

The Jacksonville Jaguars want to make a name for themselves by beating a good legitimate football team on Monday Night Football. The Baltimore Ravens are looking to stay at the top of the AFC North with another win. The Ravens currently lead the NFL in average margin of victory (22.5). This will be a very long night for Jaguar's quarterback Blaine Gabbert. Look for the Ravens defense to cause havoc and dominate. The question for Blaine Gabbert is what are you going to do when T-Sizzle and Ngata come for you?

Prediction: Ravens 27 Jaguars 17

The Ravens Send The Texans Home With Another Loss

The Houston Texans have never beaten the Baltimore Ravens in their franchise history. Nothing changed today as the Ravens beat them again. The Texans played the Ravens tough but could not do too much against the Ravens defense.

Ray Rice had 101 yards rushing and Anquan Boldin had 132 yards receiving. Joe Flacco passed for 305 yards. Ray Lewis had 8 tackles and a sack today.

Final Score: Ravens 29 Texans 14

Ravens vs Texans Halftime Report

The Ravens looked pretty good on their opening drive but since then the offense has looked terrible. The offense has turned the ball over already at least twice already. The Ravens defense has played outstanding as usual but the turnovers by the offense are keeping the Texans in the game. The offensive line for the Ravens looks horrible right now and Joe Flacco is getting pounded.

Halftime Score: Ravens 10 Texans 7

Ravens vs Texans Pre-Game Analysis

The Baltimore Ravens are well rested coming off of a bye week. The Houston Texans are battered and bruised coming off of a defeat by the hands of the Oakland Raiders last week. The Ravens usually play hard at home. Joe Flacco had a bad game against the Jets before the bye and I am looking to see some improvement today. I also expect the Ravens defense to contain Arian Foster today.

Prediction: Ravens 24 Texans 17

Ravens Destroy the Jets in Primetime Sunday Night

It wasn't even close. The New York Jets were overpowered by the Baltimore Ravens defense which returned 3 turnovers for touchdowns. The Jets defense did play well but the Ravens defense played better. The Ravens defense set the tone early by recovering a Mark Sanchez fumble for a TD. The fumble was forced by the legendary Ed Reed.

Joe Flacco targeted Torrey Smith deep a few times but they could not connect as well as they did last week against the Rams. The Ravens look good going into the bye week sitting in first place in the AFC North. After the bye week, the Ravens will play the Houston Texans at home.

Final Score: Ravens 34 Jets 17

Ravens vs Jets Pre-Game Analysis

The Baltimore Ravens with be playing the Baltimore Jets AKA the New York Jets tonight. Rex Ryan has built his Jets team around former Ravens and Steelers players. Ravens wide receiver Torrey Smith had a field day last week but will be tested against the Jets cornerbacks.

The Jets gave up lots of yards last week but I expect them to try to stop the running game of the Ravens tonight. If the Ravens can protect Joe Flacco and get after Sanchez, the Ravens should get the win at home.

Prediction: Ravens 24 Jets 17
