Ravens Lost Dog Fight by not Playing too Bright

The Baltimore Ravens had 2 touchdowns called back because of penalties. Mason drops a touchdown pass in the end zone. The Ravens got penalized for over 100 yards. The Ravens basically did everything they could to get beat and they did get beat.

The Ravens should have won this game but end up getting beat 23 to 20. Ray Rice had over a hundred yards rushing but it wasn't enough as stupid penalties killed us. The Ravens need to seriously do something about these penalties and quickly. Honestly, it maybe too late.

Final score:

Ravens 20 Steelers 23

The Thriller @ the Steelers

The Baltimore Ravens vs the Pittsburgh Steelers is one of the best rivalries in the NFL. With 2 games left it is getting down to crunch time. Both teams are fighting for a playoff birth. A Ravens win will knock Pittsburgh out of the race.

I personally hate the Pittsburgh Steelers but I respect the Pittsburgh Steelers. There is going to be some hard hitting in this one folks! This is why I have titled this game "The Thriller @ the Steelers"

Go Ravens!!!

Ravens Bully Bears 31 to 7

The Baltimore Ravens looked explosive for the second week in a row and bully the Chicago Bears from start to finish. Todd Heap arose from the dead for a pair of touchdowns and Flacco looked flawless with four touchdown passes. Jay Cutler threw three picks and the Ravens took advantage of it.

Ray Rice had 87 yards rushing and Flacco spread the ball around very well and even D. Williams got in on the action. It was a very good win and I look forward to playing the Pittsburgh Steelers next week.

2 more wins and we are in the playoffs!!!

Ray Rice is Nice!

I'm watching the Baltimore Ravens play the Chicago Bears and it is only the first quarter and I'm already impressed with the play of Ray Rice. He already has a few explosive plays and Ravens are up 14 to 0.

Ravens vs Bears Game Pushed Back to 4:15pm

The game which was originally scheduled for 1:00 pm has been pushed back to 4:15 pm due to the blizzard that has hit the east coast. The Bears team flight to Baltimore was delayed yesterday due to the bad weather conditions.

This should be a Ravens win on paper, but it will be interesting to see how the Ravens play today. We need this win to keep our playoff hopes alive!

The Ravens Defense is Still There!

Many Baltimore Ravens fans are led to believe that the Ravens defense isn't what it used to be. I agree that is not close to the 2000 Superbowl year defense which was in my opinion the greatest of all time but it is still one of the best in the league.

Let's take a look at the numbers. The Ravens have giving up the third fewest points in the NFL so far. The Ravens are #1 in giving up the fewest touchdowns in the NFL right now. This is very impressive considering othe problems with our secondary this year.

The bottom line is that the defense brings it when they need to in the red zone and doesn't give up many touchdowns. Yes, the Baltimore Ravens defense is still worth taking pride in. I look forward to beating the Chicago Bears on Sunday.

Ravens vs Lions Game Highlights

The Baltimore Ravens beat down the Detroit Lions like they stole something on Sunday. It may be a long time before Ravens fans can enjoy a victory like this again so it is worth looking at the video highlights.

You can check out the video highlights of the game by clicking here!

Ravens Tame the Lions 48 to 3

In one of the biggest blowouts in Baltimore Ravens history, the Ravens show what they can do when both the offense and defense show up at the same time. Ray Rice had a huge day with 166 yards rushing and averaging 12.8 yards per carry. Willis McGahee also contributed with 76 yards rushing and 2 TDs. Derrick Mason had 94 yards receiving and a touchdown as well.

The only scoring the bad news Lions did was a field goal which came on a drive after a bad roughing the passer call against the Ravens. Joe Flacco ended up with 230 yards passing and no interceptions. Overall, it was a great win for the Ravens even though it came against a scrubby team.

Ravens vs Lions PreGame Analysis

The Baltimore Ravens have six wins this season so far and the Detroit Lions have two wins. The Ravens have the better team by far but let's not murder ourselves by losing to these bums. The Baltimore Ravens still have a shot at the playoffs but we have to play mistake free football for the rest of the season.

The game will take place 1pm eastern time at M&T Bank stadium. The Ravens are playing at home and we must protect this house!!!

Flacco Flunks Test and Ravens Fall to Packers 14 to 27

The Baltimore Ravens got off to yet another slow start. The Packers took an early lead of 17 to 0. The Ravens then came within three points to make it 14 to 17. The Ravens blow several scoring opportunities again as Joe Flacco tried to force several throws and ended up throwing 3 picks.

The Ravens seem to be their own worst enemy. If they are not getting penalties at the worst time, then they are blowing scoring opportunities with bad decisions. Our playoff hopes don't look too pretty.

Final score - Packers 27 Ravens 14

Ravens versus Packers

I'm ready for some football! It's Monday night and the Baltimore Ravens are about to go against the Green Bay Packers! Its time to separate the men from the boys. I feel like this game is a must win for the Ravens.

Sure, there is a chance the Ravens could still get in the playoffs with six losses. The point is that we can pretty much guarantee a playoff birth if we finish 11 and 5 and run the table. The time has come to build some momentum. The time has come to prove ourselves. The time has come to win!!!

Go Ravens!!!!

Pittsburgh Falls Again - Their Loss is Ravens Gain

The Pittsburgh Steelers lose again, this time to the Oakland Raiders. This loss helps the Ravens chances for the playoffs and puts us in decent shape if we beat the Green Bay Packers on Monday night.

Baltimore Beats Pittsburgh!

Finally, the Baltimore Ravens pull out a close one. It was a nail biter which ended up going into overtime. The final score was the Ravens 20 and the Steelers 17. Just when it looked like the Ravens might lose another close one in the 4th quarter, the coach made a brave call to go for it on 4th down. It turned out to be a great call as the Ravens ended up getting a first down on a pass to Ray Rice. We ended up kicking a field goal and the game went into OT.

In overtime, the defense came up with a big interception which led to the game winning field goal for the Ravens. The Ravens keep their wild card hopes alive with this win.

Playoffs Still Within Reach for Ravens

We blew it against the Colts but we can redeem ourselves this week when we play the Pittsburgh Steelers. We lost to the Steelers three times in a row last year and they were the team that stopped us from going to the Superbowl!

It is time for revenge. If we have any chance of making the playoffs this year, I think we are going to have to sweep the Pittsburgh Steelers. Let's redeem ourselves. It is time to make all Ravens fans proud by crushing these bums.

Ravens Blow It!

In a very competitive close game that the Ravens had every opportunity to win, they end up losing to the Colts by a score of 15 - 17. The bottom line is that the Ravens should have won this game but they could not get the ball in the end zone to save their lives.

The Colts scored easily on their first drive but then the Ravens defense showed up for the rest of the game and started creating turnovers. Matt Stover, of course, ends up putting the Colts ahead with a field goal. Honestly the Ravens were more competitive than I thought they would be. They just need to to learn how to finish these close games.

I don't know about you other Ravens fans, but I am tired of seeing them choke in the 4th quarter!

Will the Colts Remain Undefeated?

The Baltimore Ravens versus the Indianapolis Colts could turn out to be the game of the week. Since the Patriots blew it, there is no other team with more motivation to beat the undefeated Colts than the Baltimore Ravens.

Even though the Ravens defense isn't as great as it has been previously, Baltimore still prides itself on defense. There is no better way for the Ravens to redeem themselves for their recent losses than by beating the team that broke our hearts when they moved to Indianapolis. If the Ravens defense shows up, it will be the game of the week.

Ravens Smash Browns 16 - 0

Now this is the Ravens defense that I'm used to seeing. The one that takes advantage of turnovers and shuts down opponents. My only concern is that we didn't get going until the second half. Another concern is that we need a new field goal kicker.

In summary, a win is a win even if it came against the scrubby Cleveland Browns.

Ravens vs Browns Pre-Game Comments

Well, it is Monday night and I am ready for some football! The Ravens, after losing four of the last five games, really need to put a hurting on the Cleveland Browns. It is not good enough for us to just beat them. We need to demolish them and help build my confidence in the team for the rest of the season.

OK, with that being said, I'm ready to see some touchdown passes from Flacco. I want to see Ray Rice break one. I'm ready to see Ed Reed force some more fumbles. I am ready to see the Ravens win!!!

Enjoy the game!!!

My Favorite Baltimore Raven

Players such as Flacco, Ray Rice, Ed Reed, and Mason are definitely in my top five. However, Ray Lewis continues to be my favorite Baltimore Raven football player. Nobody embodies the spirit of Baltimore football like Ray Lewis.

No other Ravens player can come close to matching the passion of Ray Lewis and he still brings that passion to every game to this day. If you love defense, how can you not love Ray Lewis? Remember the tough game when he knocked off a player's helmet with a hard hit against the Titans last year in the playoffs?

I knew we would win the game after that hit. Remember the game against the Chargers this year when he sealed the deal with a hit in the backfield on Sproles. I even felt the vicious hit on Chad Johnson was worth it despite the penalty. Yes, Ray Lewis is still my favorite.

The Good News

OK Baltimore fans I have some good news for you. The good news is that we play the Cleveland Browns this week. The Brown have not won a game at home all year. The Browns are 1 and 7 are one of the worst teams in the NFL so this should be a win on paper for the Ravens.

What the catch? The catch is that the the game is on a Monday night and the Browns will be hungry for a win especially against the hated Baltimore Ravens. As far as I am concerned this is a must win for the Ravens due to our tough schedule ahead.

Ravens End Up Losing to Bengals - Final Score 17 to 7

Well the Baltimore Ravens have lost four out of their last five games. The good news is that we did play much better the second half but penalties are still killing us. Missing field goals in the second half of games isn't helping the cause either.

Ray Rice continues to be a bright spot on offense and our defense did show in the second half of the game. With a tough schedule ahead, it doesn't look too pretty. Who would have ever thought that the Bengals would sweep the Ravens during the regular season?

What is Going on with the Ravens?

At the time of this post it is the second quarter and the Ravens are getting their butts kicked by the Bengals. The current score is 17-0 and we have the goose egg.

What happened to the team that I saw blow out the Broncos last week? This looks like the the team that went 0 for 3 in October. You know, the one that has secondary problems and keeps getting pass interference calls at stupid points in the game.

Going into today the Baltimore Ravens lead the league in penalty yardage loss as well as pass interference calls. With all that being said, I know it is only the second quarter right now but this does not look good. Let's see what happens, but it is going to take an incredible half time readjustment to pull this one out.
